Non-UK Citizens
If you are a citizen of an EU country, resident in the UK, you should have no difficulty in finding a mortgage. If you are originally from outside the EU, many mortgage lenders require you to have indefinite leave to remain in the country.
Mortgages are available subject to a minimum of 12 months residency in the UK and a minimum of 6 months remaining on your visa.
